Founder of Tribu Casting, Marie-Chantal Therrien decided to embark on her casting director adventure in the summer of 2014, following the shooting of François Péloquin's feature film "Le bruit des arbres", starring Antoine L'Écuyer and Roy Dupuis.
She played a second role in the film, and decided to lend a hand to fill the casting needs for second and third roles, as well as for numerous extras in the Matanie region.
A native of Montreal (Canada), Marie-Chantal Therrien studied drama/interpretation at UQUÀM, and made her professional debut with other young actors in her class in 1987 with Paul Buissonneau's "La roulotte", touring Montreal parks.
She went on to act in several theatrical productions with and/or under the direction of actor Yvon Barrette, who became her mentor. She was a high school drama teacher from 1996 to 2011. Marie-Chantal sees herself as a passionate "cultural activist".
