Jonathan worked in corporate finance in Chicago, Denver and Southern California before moving to Washington, DC to become a political journalist.
He spent 10 years working for The Hill newspaper as a national political reporter covering the White House, campaigns and elections.
His first movie script, Red Right Hand, was discovered on The Black List by Zak Kristofek and Jason Tamasco of Traction Pictures following a top finish in the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship in 2016. The backwoods thriller starring Orlando Bloom and Andie MacDowell will be released in 2024. Ian and Eshom Nelms directed.
Jonathan's second script, a dark comedy and crime thriller called Adios & Goodbye, won the Enderby Entertainment Award at the Austin Film Festival in 2020.
He made the 2022 Black List for his horror-noir script The Midnight Pool.
He lives in Hollywood.
