Megan Mead is a queer stop-motion artist, director and recovering production designer. They are the Creative Director for Pranksters Ink, a small production company they own and operate in Los Angeles. They write, direct, and develop features and short films along with their co-owners Rachel and Gabriel Malasig. Most recently their short film "Gone Postal" has been accepted to 7 high-quality film festivals as of 2023, and their queer coming of age feature script Magpie won Out on Film's 2022 Screenplay competition.
Megan's stories embrace duplexity, combining both ardent whimsy and gutting, heartfelt emotion. They believe that, just as in life, humor and sorrow play equal roles and that no dramatic moment is safe from a punchline.
