Kate Ferguson is a Los Angeles-based Writer, Director, Actor, and Producer. She is the owner of Cold Dust Creative and Divvy Magazine.
As an actor, Kate studied with teachers including Doug Warhit, Judy Kerr, and Kimberly Jentzen, as well as received training at Playhouse West. Projects to be released in 2022 include 'Steel Trap', in which Kate costars; 'Ruffin It', in which she stars, co-wrote, and produced; and 'Shame Full', which was shot in Austin, TX.
Kate's first narrative short films as a director are 'Sunday' and 'Stuffer.' Early experimental film works include Super 8 projects such as 'One New York Minute.' (Pre-production.) Her writing style leans toward absurdity, mundanity, and nuance. Aesthetically she loves all things analog.
Outside of the film industry, she has worked as a social media and marketing professional in the tech, fashion, and wellness industries, as well as a journalist, creative writer, photographer, and model.
Kate obtained a BA in sociology from the University of California Davis and attended Austin School of Film.
