While Meg 2 features three giant sharks, some lizard-like creatures, and a giant octopus, Megalodon: The Frenzy unleashes five giant sharks into the open sea – and Asylum fans in the U.S. will have the chance to see the action play out on the big screen starting on August 25th!
Megalodon: The Frenzy is set to receive a digital release this Friday, August 18th as well, so fans will be able to watch it at home for a week before it reaches theatres.

A “mockbuster” take on Meg 2: The Trench, The Asylum is back with Megalodon: The Frenzy, their latest addition to the “Sharksploitation” subgenre they love playing around in.
In this summer’s Megalodon: The Frenzy, directed by Brendan Petrizzo, “When a frenzy of five Megalodons torment the open ocean, the stakes have never been higher.”

And who doesn’t love a good Bermuda Triangle movie? Hollywood certainly does. Hell, we got an entire TV show inspired by the urban legend.
Devil’s Triangle reminded me very much of 1978’s The Return of Captain Nemo – that film, at the time, married old-fashioned tech with modern-day stylings, whereas Devil’s Triangle takes futuristic elements of the Atlanteans and transplants wonder-day folk into them.
