Blowback is yet another film that begins somewhere in the midst of the story before cutting back to the beginning. In this case, the beginning is Nick playing chess with his hospitalized daughter. She needs an experimental, and expensive treatment to save her life. But a rideshare driver’s paycheck isn’t going to cover that.

Fortunately, he’s not exactly the most honest of people and knows a few people if you know what I mean. He gets a lead on some extremely valuable thumb drives being held at a local bank and decides to pull off a heist. Right from the start he makes a big mistake and involves his ex Veronica (Michele Plaia; Cloudy with a Chance of Sunshine) and her current man Jack.

"I saw an opportunity, so I took it." Saban Films has revealed a trailer for another junk action thriller called Blowback, arriving in theaters this June right in the middle of the summer. After planning a perfect heist robbing a bank where a special stash is hidden, Nick is ready to score. One problem, his girl and the crew, have other ideas. They take Nick down in a hail of bullets but Nick doesn't die and in a race for his life, seeks revenge one target at a time. Yet another of these exceptionally generic, entirely derivative action films that no one will actually watch. The film stars Randy Couture, Louis Mandylor, Chris Maher, Benjamin Abiola, Michele Plaia, Texas Battle, and Cam Gigandet. I honestly don't know who still watches these films and how they keep getting funded, but I guess generic action films are always easy to sell. Lock 'n load.

Premiere Entertainment Group (Peg) has struck a raft of major territory deals on EFM sales title Blowback starring former UFC champion Randy Couture from the Expendables franchise and Twilight franchise regular Cam Gigandet.

The action thriller sees Nick (Gigandet) revenge out for after he is betrayed and left for dead by Jack (Couture) and his crew during a Las Vegas heist. Louis Mandylor, Michele Plaia, Rafael Cabrera, and William McNamara round out the key cast.

LA-based Premiere Entertainment Group’s (Peg) Randy Couture heist thriller Blowback has wrapped production ahead of a sales launch at the virtual Cannes Marché in June.

Six-time UFC champion Couture (The Expendables franchise; The Scorpion King 2) stars alongside Cam Gigandet (Twilight franchise; Priest) in the story of Nick (Gigandet) who goes after Jack (Couture) after he is betrayed during a Las Vegas heist.

Rounding out the cast are Louis Mandylor, Michele Plaia, Rafael Cabrera, and William McNamara. Production took place entirely in Las Vegas, Nevada.
