Llysa Rie is a model, actress, writer, director and owner of a production studio in California. She is of mixed race, born in Japan to a Japanese mother and American father, with a diverse multi-cultural upbringing. She has won awards for best actress at varies festivals for her first lead role in the feature film i, matter. In support of Global Health and AIDS Awareness, she heartbreakingly portrays the difficult role of a girl who fights Cancer as her health declines due to AIDS. She has also won and been nominated for best director and best narrative for this film she created at the same festivals.
Llysa made her Acting debut by landing a role in a John Travolta film, currently on Netflix, produced by Oscar winning producer/writer Nick Vallelonga of Green Book and directed by Chuck Russell (known to have discovered Cameron Diaz and The Rock). Llysa was scouted and quickly became a highly sought after model and talent in Japan before moving to LA. She has been featured in numerous campaigns and publications nationally and internationally such as Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Nylon, and W magazine among hundreds more throughout her career. She has studied at Playhouse West during the time Jeff Goldblum had been teaching. Llysa has also taught acting to a select few through International Performing Arts Academy helping Nina Lu to land her starring role in the hit show Bunk'd.
