Biography

Gita Guha is an Indian actress who is predominantly known for working in the Hindi films and TV series. She was born in Naihati, West Bengal and completed B. A Hons. from the Calcutta University. Later, she completed post graduation in dramatic art from the NSD (National School of Drama, New Delhi).

The versatile artist made her acting debut with Kaphal, 61st award winning film. This was followed by a series of projects, including The Umesh Chronicles, Humans in the loop, Chhapaak, Beyond the clouds, Dhumkudia, Interconnect, Black Wing (VR Film), One last time, Talvar, Aligarh, Saroj, Sadak Chhap, 10 feet by 10 feet, Chudiyan, among others.

Her work experience also includes NSD Repertory, Forum Freis Theatre, Düsseldorf (Germany), Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. She has also made some short films, including Cognition, Pratidhwani and 1 2 3 4.

Besides this, Gita has featured in several web series, which include Hankaar, Little Things, Adulting, Chalo Koi Baat Nahi, Guilty Minds, Mamla Legal Hai, to name a few.

The maverick artist's theatre work includes prolific projects, such as Macbeth, Good Women of Setzuan, The Cherry Orchard, Shakuntala ki Angoothi, Shila Shringar, The Seventh Seal, Ghost, Three Sisters, etc.
