Biography

Shanika Denise Moore walked onto her first set in Chicago, IL as a Production Assistant in 2012 for a music video featuring rapper Twista. This experience forever changed her life. Studying Film and Writing for TV at Columbia College Chicago, she was able to intern at Big Shoulders Media where she worked on many BTS film shoots, including an exposé with the Rev. Jesse Jackson at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. She has written and produced short films and continues to help develop features.

Shanika is the President and Creative Director of Sistah Soul Productions, an independent film and media production company which she founded in 2017. Shanika has been noted to excel in development producing, helping filmmakers to elevate their stories and screenplays, to prepare them for packaging and pitch. She is a wonderful collaborator and is always seeking to connect with fellow creatives who have unique perspectives.
