Austin Lauer was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and began acting on stage in Louisville, Kentucky. He went on to study acting at the University of Evansville, earning his Bachelor's of Science degree in 2014. He directed his first short film, Strangers, in 2017. Lauer resides in Los Angeles, where he is best known for his work in indie films. His upcoming short, Hardwood Heroes, marks his first steps into comedy.
