Adam Benzine is a Toronto-based filmmaker. He wrote, produced and directed the HBO/ZDF documentary CLAUDE LANZMANN: SPECTRES OF THE SHOAH, which has screened at festivals and been broadcast by networks across the world. The film earned him an Academy Award® nomination, in addition to recognition from the Griersons, the Canadian Screen Awards, the IDA Awards, the Banff Rockies and the Cinema Eye Honors.
Benzine also works as a journalist, and serves as the Canadian Bureau Chief for entertainment trade publisher C21 Media, covering all genres of content across North America. Prior to joining C21, he served for four years as the Associate Editor for Realscreen, the international publisher of non-fiction film and television industry news. He has written for a range of publications, including The Hollywood Reporter, The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Walrus, Mojo, The Independent and Indiewire.
