- Katy O'Brian is an actress and martial artist from Indianapolis, IN. Her love for acting began with local theater productions at a young age, but her true passion was always in film. After working on several local projects, in 2016, Katy moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Film and Television. She landed her first TV role as a savior on AMC's, "The Walking Dead" followed by small parts on, "Halt and Catch Fire" and "How to Get Away with Murder," before landing her first series regular role as George on the Syfy zombie apocalypse series, "Z Nation."

- Often mistaken for being of Asian or Pacific Islander descent, she is actually of African-American and Irish descent.
- Used to be a competitive bodybuilder. When a fan on social media tagged her under a post that had a casting call for a queer bodybuilder, she responded to it, and she was very eager getting an audition for it. It earned her a leading role in the film Love Lies Bleeding (2024), where she played the character Jackie, who is also a competitive bodybuilder.
- Before she started her acting career, she was a police officer for seven years at the Carmel Police Department in Indiana.
- She holds a brown belt in Goju Ryu Karate and a black belt in Hapkido and is trained extensively in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
