Early Years
Born in New York City, Aly's artistic journey began with her father, Jeffrey, a Broadway and TV actor, who inspired her love of the arts. At just five years old, Aly started formal training in acting, singing, and dancing at Weist Barron Studios and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in NYC. By her teenage years, she had taken leading roles in school productions, including Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde and Alice in Alice in Wonderland.
Aly honed her craft at the prestigious Paper Mill Playhouse Musical Theater Conservatory, where she starred in productions such as South Pacific (Nellie) and On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (Daisy Gamble) as part of the "New Voices" Summer Concert Series.
Alongside her creative pursuits, Aly excelled as an athlete, playing basketball, field hockey and leading her softball team as a catcher and captain, while also serving as Class President for three consecutive terms. She was voted by her peers as a nominee for "Miss Watchung Hills" and "Most Likely to Star On Broadway."
Education and Early Career
Aly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a dual major in Business Administration. While in college, she became a proud member of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority, serving as Philanthropy Chair for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. After graduation, Aly joined Goldman Sachs, where she thrived in the Prime Brokerage division and fast-tracked to an Associate-level role during her four-year tenure.
Despite her success in finance, Aly was drawn back to her first love-acting. She left her corporate career to study at James Franco's Studio 4 NYC, where she trained in the Meisner Technique and worked closely with Franco in multiple episodes of his Emmy-nominated season, Making A Scene.
Acting and Filmmaking Career
Aly's acting career quickly gained momentum, with featured roles in acclaimed projects such as John Wick 2, The Get Down, Younger, Vinyl, and The Deuce. She also worked directly with Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis and trained in comedy at NYC's Upright Citizens Brigade, leading to featured appearances in Saturday Night Live sketches.
As a filmmaker, Aly made her directorial debut with "Roaring Tides," a heartfelt short film that earned recognition at numerous film festivals, including the Chelsea Film Festival and the NYC Chain Film Festival, where she was awarded Best Actress and Best New Director.
Her follow-up film, "The Beginning," marks a bold step forward, blending personal experiences with universal themes of resilience and empowerment. The film has received critical acclaim on the festival circuit, earning Aly awards for Best Actress, Best Director, Best Film Finalist, Semi-Finalist and Best Film Winner.
With a dynamic range that spans from heartfelt drama to sharp comedy, Aly continues to push boundaries as she works on two new comedy TV projects, Typecast and InGeniuses.
Beyond the Camera
Aly is also the face of NYC-based fashion line Hailey Lyn for Nordstrom and has appeared in campaigns for major brands such as Rebecca Taylor, Jovani, Of Mercer, The Renwick, Hilton Hotels and NFL Films and is a former Miss NJ USA Runner-Up.
When not acting, Aly dedicates her time to empowering young women. She is the founder of The Balanced Beauty LLC, a holistic health coaching business that inspires women to make healthy, confident choices. She is also an active supporter of The Pink Agenda, a nonprofit raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research-a cause deeply personal to Aly, who lost her mother to the disease at a young age.
