Both were known for their acting, fashion choices & love for automobiles. They also died at the peak of their careers at the untimely age of 24 & left lasting legacies for generations to come.
- His grandfather acted in Mukh O Mukhosh. It released in 1956 & was the first Bengali-language feature film to be made in East Pakistan.

- He was the first choice & partially shot for movies like Mon Mane Na, Tumi Shudhu Tumi, Shesh Thikana, Ke Oporadhi etc which were re-filmed with other actors replacing him after his death. Also was cast in & supposed to start filming movies like Coolie, Praner Cheye Priyo etc but due to his sudden demise the makers cast other actors for his roles.
- Two of his films Ei Ghor, Ei Songsar & Mayer Odhikar were remade in Tollywood or Bengali language film industry of West Bengal, India after his death with Prasenjit Chatterjee playing Shah's characters in both.
- He was an avid collector of branded watches, hats, perfumes & shoes.
- He & Mousumi, his first feature film leading lady went to the same primary school in Khulna, Bangladesh when their respective fathers were professionally transferred there for a short time.
- He was able to re-enter the audience of Bangladesh in theaters again after it lost it's popularity to Indian movies through VHS.
