Joe Piazza(I)

Joseph John Piazza (Joe, as he is known) entered the world on May 16, 1988. He is the second
child of five born to Donna and Joseph Piazza. He hales from St. Clair Shores, MI, a close
suburb of Detroit. Joe never shone as brightly as he did when he was in front of a camera or an
audience. Suffice it to say, Joe was a born performer.
Joe began his study, and love, for playing music at age ten. He started out playing drums and
percussion in the school band. Throughout the years he taught himself piano, guitar, bass and
multiple other instruments. Music was, and continues to be, an essential part of Joe's life. He
has played in several local bands over the span of ten years since high school and has never
stopped learning and playing music, to this day.
While he was in high school Joe began to explore opportunities in the burgeoning Detroit Film
scene. He did some extra work in several Hollywood productions, (Real Steel & Detroit 1-8-7,
2011 & Red Dawn, 2012) which led him down the road less traveled, he has never looked
back. He began auditioning, he was offered and scored some lead roles and supporting parts
in the growing independent film movement in and around Detroit.
Over the past fifteen years Joe has been an integral part of fourteen films (six features and
eight shorts) and three series, to date. The expanse of the roles he has played is wide and
diverse. He has played a range of characters from a boxer (Into the Pan, 2016), to a demon
chasing detective (Enigma, 2019), and an uninspired guy trying to earn his inheritance, while
dealing with his goofy brother's hi-jinx (45 Days to Be Rich, 2021).
Currently, Joe has two movie projects in the works, is producing an album and is a contributor
to the "Beam Me Up," podcast.
