Brett R.M. Smith

Brett Smith was born in Rockbridge County, VA and has made his home in
seven different counties in Virginia. He has traveled extensively
throughout the USA, Canada, and Mexico. When he was 17, Brett was
mentored by Jazz pianist Dave Bass. Soon afterward, Brett bought a
saxophone, eventually becoming a street musician in Roanoke, VA;
Savannah, GA; and Southern California. Also, he is a self-proclaimed,
avant guard artist producing pottery, sketches, and other art created
with unusual mediums. He has some acting experience from high school.
He has performed in several museums. He also played in the hip hop
group Helllstorm in which he is proud to have participated. Having once
co-owned an antique store in Martinsville, VA, he is now retired.
