Chris Kepford is a stand-up comic who performs regularly at Dangerfield's Comedy Club. Chris is also the Executive Producer of new media entertainment/TV projects that include "The Chris Kepford Show", the "Kippy!" Amazon show, "The Chris Kepford Experience", and "Happily Ever Ally" comedy series pilot, with renowned actress/comedian/EP Alyse Kenny.
Chris is in high demand for his special brand of so-called comedy for private shows and corporate events. He's a sketch comic and an all-around actor. His performances have won him the Best Comedic Actor and Best Film Awards. For the past eight seasons, he's been a recurring actor as a detective on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Raised in Enid Oklahoma, Chris has always been one of those people everyone said should be in comedy. After traveling around the country, he landed at the New York Comedy Club on 23rd street. He got his start by hanging around the club asking to go on and finally got his break to get on stage and do his act for an appreciative crowd.
Later hired by the Shubert organization (known for being behind the first Broadway show and Theater back in the 1800s), Chris had also worked for a number of other Broadway producers while continuing to do his comedy shows. Then one day, a television producer asked him to be a featured extra in a Hugh Grant movie. From that initial experience, Chris developed his acting skills, got a manager and has gone on with successfully booking many TV and movie roles, while continuing to expand his presence in the comedy scene.
A master at balancing his work across the spectrum of performance genres, Chris is being tapped to work overseas and across the country on new projects backed by major networks. Always humble, and yet fully committed to his roles, he leverages his skills and expertise to deliver great performances in each of his new endeavors.
