Sherif Nagib is an Egyptian screenwriter, director. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in 2002, and then moved to Canada to study 3D animation and visual effects in Vancouver film school, where his passion for film making began. He came back to Egypt, and directed his attention to story writing for movies. His wrote his first screenplay in 2010, "La Taragoa wa La Esteslam". A parody comedy that was a massive success and launched his career as a screenwriter.
He was a co-head writer in the first two seasons of Saturday Night Live Arabia, the Arabic version of the American sketch comedy TV show. He wrote a short film adaptation of "The Death Of A Government Clerk" by "Anton Chekhov". The film won the Best Live Action Short over 15 minutes in the 2014 Palms Springs International Festival, and was selected in Cannes Cinéfondation 2014.
As a director, he directed one short film in 2011. An adaptation of a short story by Naguib Mahfouz. And one feature film to be released in 2021.
