Roy Khalil is a British actor, of Palestinian/Irish descent. He is primarily known as a character actor in the Theatre. He was last seen in "A Land without People" at the Courtyard Theatre by Brian Rotman playing 4 roles (Ben Gurion/Churchill/Sakakini/Ben Hecht) and he received numerous 4/5* reviews.
He trained as an actor at the world renowned Drama Centre London at the same time as Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender, under the tutelage of Christopher Fettes, Yat Malmgren and Reuven Adiv. These legendary teachers taught the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Paul Bettany, to name but a few.
Roy trained at the Royal Court Theatre as a playwright under Simon Stephens and his first full length play has been commissioned and has had two developmental workshops at the Royal National Theatre Studio, directed by Tim Pigott-Smith.
Roy has directed plays at Hampstead Theatre and at the Edinburgh Festival.
On the screen, Roy has appeared in numerous commercials and has won a Channel 4 ComedyLab commission to produce a pilot in collaboration with Talkback. He is represented by the Harter Allen Agency.
