Stephanie Bitten
- Actress
Stephanie Bitten is an actor, performer and playwright. Originally from
London, England, she is a proud new Canadian and dual citizen. Steph
tried her hand at various careers before admitting that she was really
an actor at heart...such career adventures included being a funeral
arranger for six months, a soldier for 4 years and a Police Constable
for almost seven years. The 2005 terrorist bombings of the London
Underground (subway)system whilst Steph was on duty prompted some
life-changing events; including moving to Canada with her partner and
spending 4 years as a mature student getting her B.F.A degree in
Acting. She has played iconic roles such as Beatrice in Much Ado About
Nothing, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Lenny Magrath in Crimes of the Heart
and Mrs Weston in Jane Austin's Emma. She has also had the wonderful
opportunity of being directed by some of Canada's best theatrical
directors; including Brian Rintoul, Jim Warren, Liza Balkan and Lee
Wilson to name a few. Whilst branching out into television and film,
Steph continues to write songs and play guitar in her spare time.
