Roxann Nadine Remekie is a multi-talented storyteller: actress, writer and producer. Roxann has worked as an executive assistant for world-renowned companies including Goldman Sachs, Atlantic Records and NAMIC, Inc.
While earning her stripes at GS, she simultaneously studied the craft of acting at William Esper Studio and the Labyrinth Theater Company; private voice, speech and Shakespearean training with ShaneAnn Younts, head of New York University Graduate Drama and Speech Program.
Realizing much of the power is behind the pen, Roxann began writing soon after her onscreen career began. In 2013 she penned Art. Love. Life: The Cypha, an auto- biographical theater play where the main character (Reign) goes on an introspective journey that dares her imaginary audience to fly. Written in prose with dance, song and live drum accompaniment, the critically-acclaimed piece made its rounds through the black box theater circuit, culminating at the Actors Fund Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY. Whilst in development, Roxann traveled back to her roots, penning on the peeks of Blue Mountain, Jamaica, WI. Other writing followed and Shine Thyme Entertainment was created. It's mission? To create relevant and engaging content for film, television and theater that authentically reflects the lives for Caribbean and Caribbean-Americans today for film and television.
Roxann has been in numerous commercial ads ([Superbowl] Budlight Nippon Airways, Brooklyn Academy of Music) and has sang the national anthem for the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center several times. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Marketing, Music Industry) at Syracuse University. She was a mentor for their 2016 fullCircle Mentorship program, sponsored by SU's Office of Multicultural Affairs and maintains a very strong relationship with her alma mater. In 2020, Roxann completed the WICT Leadership Seminar.
