Baskoro Adi Wuryanto is an Indonesian scriptwriter and filmmaker, widely regarded as one of the most underrated yet versatile talents in the industry. From 2012 to 2022, Baskoro contributed to 38 film scripts, with 28 of them making it to the screen. His portfolio includes over 50 scripts for TV feature films-earning him a Festival Film Bandung award in 2016 for the FTV titled Pulang Merantau-hundreds of sitcom episodes, dozens of corporate videos, and several short films.
Baskoro's journey into theatrical releases began with the omnibus Hi5teria (2012), where he penned 3 out of 5 films, which later premiered at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival 2012. At the same festival, his project titled Blue Blood received the Project Spotlight Award from the Network of Asian Fantastic Films - Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival 2012. Despite his first feature film, King of Rock City (2013), being dubbed as the lowest-grossing film of the year by Yan Widjaya, Baskoro persevered, working on low-budget, tight-timeline films before rebounding with box office successes like Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika (2015) and Jailangkung (2017).
A true student of his craft, Baskoro even explored acting to better understand how actors work with scripts, appearing in minor roles in the short film Serpong (2015) and the series Conq (2014) and Switch (2017) on Viu.
Renowned for his versatility, Baskoro has left his mark across various genres: horror for cinema, romantic comedies for TV Films, and comedies for TV series. On OTT platforms, he has demonstrated his range by working on horror, action, comedy, drama, and even e-sports drama.
Baskoro shares his life with three pugs, two terriers, and a Pomeranian, completing his world outside of filmmaking.
