In 2012 we followed Joan Jonas, a pioneer of visual and performance art, as she worked on her latest piece, Reanimation, created for the dOCUMENTA(13) art exhibition in Kassel, Germany. Inspired by the novel Under the Glacier by the Icelandic writer Halldór Laxness, Jonas created a video piece, mixing footage from Norway with text, drawings, props, and reanimated videos from her past work.
