- Plays field hockey as a central defender for Richmond Hockey Club and has also played American football as a corner back for London Olympians.

- Has been in a relationship with actress Rachel Bright since June 2014 and engaged since February 2019. They met whilst rehearsing the play "Dracula".
- Jonno's partner is actress Rachel Bright, best known for playing "Poppy" in Eastenders. The couple met when they co-starred in Dracula at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014.
