- Juliet Romeo is a writer and director who is a Brooklyn, New York native with strong ties to South Florida. Her script to film, Unclean garnered the Miami 48 Hour Film Festival Audience award and aired on a Halloween edition of PBS' Art Loft in 2013. She directed her first short film, The Promotion, the following year. Her first documentary J.U.L.E.S is a personal story of her struggles with the chronic disease sickle cell anemia. It was chosen by PBS for the debut season of their Film-Maker series on WPBT. It won the NSU Symposium Best Documentary and was chosen as a special selection at The Urban Film Festival, Allen Maldonado's Everybody Digital Black History Film Festival and the 2019 American Black Film Festival. She is continuing the documentary as a feature titled Sickle 2 Circle; which won the Pitch Award at the Miami Media and Film Market. Juliet also teaches a documentary and screenwriting workshop at Urgent Inc. Her ultimate goal is to use her life experiences and her company; Media Jules Production, to continue to create unique narratives and content that touch people's lives in positive ways. Juliet has also been recognized for her work as an art director on the feature film I Before Thee, 1Love, and Today, Like Yesterday. Since the Covid19 shutdown, she has is working in a virtual L.A writers room on new series as well as a pilot episode for a Hollywood network director.
