Born and raised in Barre, Vermont, the son of Edward Stout and Gladys McElroy with younger sister, Katherine. Alex graduated from Clarkson University in 2009 with a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences. After working as a Video Broadcast Technician for Castleton State College in Castleton, Vermont, Alex attended Boston University for a M.S. in Television Producing. Upon graduation Alex relocated to Los Angeles in 2013.
