It’s been a big weekend for the Washington family.
While patriarch Denzel Washington chewed the scenery on multiplex screens in “Gladiator II,” the next generation of Washingtons stormed onto streaming with the film adaptation of August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize winner “The Piano Lesson.” With the Netflix film, Denzel and Pauletta Washington’s kids — director Malcolm, actor John David and producer Katia — add to both their family mythos and Wilson’s legacy.
“We’re standing on the shoulders of the Wilsonians,” John David Washington told Variety at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on Nov. 19, listing artists who’ve appeared in Wilson’s works on stage and screen, including his father, Viola Davis, Samuel L. Jackson, Latanya Richardson Jackson, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Charles Dutton.
“They showed us how to do it,” he said. “Hopefully the younger generation will be inspired by what’s possible with these words.”

Sandra Bullock was warned not to marry her boyfriend? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Sandra Bullock has always kept her personal life relatively private, but one part of her past raised eyebrows. Her former teacher, Geraldine Filpi, warned Sandra not to marry Bryan Randall, her longtime boyfriend. Filip—now 81—told The National Enquirer, “If her mother was still alive, there’s no way Sandra should marry him.” Yikes. The advice was rooted in concerns about Randall’s past, specifically his rehab stint in the 90s. But Sandra? She wasn’t having it.
Sandra’s love life hasn’t exactly been a walk in the park. Before Randall, she married Jesse James, but their marriage ended in scandal after his public affair. But with Bryan, things felt different. Sandra once called him “the love of my life,” and anyone who’s seen her talk about him on Red Table Talk knows this was more than just a fling.

The music documentary Takin’ Care of Business took care of business at the inaugural Round Top Film Festival in Texas.
The film about Canadian rock musician Randy Bachman – founder of the bands The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive – earned the Audience Award at the debut event in the small town 75 miles east of Austin. The feature directed by Tyler Measom explores how Bachman searched for decades for a precious musical instrument that was stolen from him – his beloved 1957 Gretsch 6120 guitar on which he wrote the hits “American Woman,” “Takin’ Care of Business,” and “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet.”
“We are so honored to receive the Audience Award from the Round Top Film Festival!” said Russell Wayne Groves, producer of Takin’ Care of Business. “From the incredible festival founders, Shanna and Skylar Schanen, all the way to the amazing volunteers who kept things running smoothly, we are just humbled...

Among the Straw Hat crew of One Piece, we have Sanji, the suave, cigarette-smoking chef; a culinary genius who could probably charm a sea king with his cooking alone. Even his cast in Netflix’s Live-Action is perfect; Taz Skylar often makes gourmet meals that entice the other cast as well as fans. Then, on the other hand, we have Iñaki Godoy — whose cooking skills would make Sanji recoil in horror.

Recently, Iñaki Godoy took to Instagram to share a glimpse of his secret recipe, and let’s just say, it’s not a recipe for the faint-hearted — or for anyone with even the most basic sense of kitchen etiquette. But while Sanji would shake his head, fans can’t help but laugh at the sheer audacity of Iñaki’s unique cooking methods.

With a passion for cooking that refuses to die and an unwavering devotion to women, Sanji has become a fan favorite icon in people’s hearts. While having such absurd infatuation with the opposite sex, Sanji certainly has some of the most iconic moments, that have touched the viewers more than anyone else.

What’s even more interesting is that Taz Skylar, Sanji’s Live-Action counterpart, also shares a mindset similar to Sanji’s! In a recent Fan Festival, Skylar shocked his fans with a confession about his love life. This confession isn’t just grounds for Taz to claim his bond with his character but may just give Sanji fans one more reason to love this character.

The real-life Straw Hat Pirates are getting ready for their adventures in the One Piece live-action series for the second season. This time, their journey is going to be even more thrilling and dangerous as they are moving towards Alabasta to face one of the most dangerous villains in the series, Sir Crocodile.

Thus, they need to be ready and become stronger if they want to defeat him and move forward. And while almost every member of the crew is training and getting stronger, the only two members who showed any actual growth were Taz Skylar, who plays Sanji, and Iñaki Godoy, who plays the protagonist, Monkey D. This Valentine’s Day, One Piece fans celebrated the occasion with their very own live-action Sanji, Taz Skylar. The charismatic actor fixed the fans with Sanji’s signature cocktail, a Sanji Sour. The video showcased his ability to bartend, amongst all the other talents he possesses. The One Piece actor has truly stolen everyone’s hearts with how charming and silly he can be. He’s the perfect choice for the live-action version of Sanji, who doesn’t necessarily fall into the pervert trope of the original Sanji but rather a lady’s man.

Just like the red-colored lunch box that is used as a pivotal story-telling tool in Sunflower Girl, the story itself is packed full, except with a bunch of different themes and emotions. That’s particularly remarkable given Sunflower Girl just happens to be a short that clocks in at a mere thirteen minutes. However, that proves to be enough for director Holly M. Kaplan to convey what she was set out to.
The story here is rather simple. Rosie, a Chinese-American teenager, is asked by her mother to pick up her kid sister Amy from school. Her mother hands over to her the red tiffin box, packed with snacks for Amy. Rosie sets out to run the errand for her mother on her skateboard. On her way, she runs into Skyler and his best friend Cooper. It’s quite evident that Rosie has an innocent crush on Skyler, and from the look of it,...

One Piece Live-Action changed the game for live-action adaptations, with more hits than misses, starting with some of the best casting choices of all time. The uncanny resemblance between the actors and the characters left fans awestruck. This likeness was not specific to their appearance but extended to their mannerisms as well. For instance, Iñaki Godoy had Luffy’s carefree attitude whereas Mackenyu was strong and straightforward like Zoro.

However, often the passionate fans of Oda-Sensei wonder about the inspiration behind the incredibly famous title. It turns out the mangaka was inspired by a Swedish children’s story about a pirate that set the very foundation for his Pirate show.

The concept of killing the characters is one of the few things that Eiichiro Oda does not enjoy in One Piece. The manga creator has been working on his series for almost thirty years and to this day, he does not like the idea of killing his characters. And while there have been deaths in the series, Oda has made sure that they have a lasting impact on the narrative.

Post-time skip Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece has a pretty huge chest scar whose memories are equally scarring. The death of his sworn brother, Portgas D. Ace, is one of the saddest arcs in One Piece history. But did you know that Luffy has previously had this peculiar scar and not from the terrifying marine, Akainu?
Roronoa Zoro, Luffy’s right hand and the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, had quite an unfortunate mishap during the Ocean’s Dream Arc. Zoro ends up hypnotized and uses his iconic onigiri fighting style against Luffy, leaving an X-shaped scar on him. However, it’s important to note that the Ocean’s Dream Arc is a filler arc and the X mark is thinner than his current one.

Among the few crews who have made it to the final saga in One Piece, the one that has achieved this with the least amount of effort is the Cross Guild organization. Eiichiro Oda might have created One Piece as a mere Shonen manga, but to fans, it holds far greater significance. Despite her unpopularity, Skyler White is one of the most innocent characters on Breaking Bad. Skyler's perspective is from that of a horror movie, trapped in a dangerous situation by Walter. Skyler's affair cannot be compared to being a cold-blooded murderer like Walter, who brought destruction upon his family.

The Big Brother 26 Live Feeds were down for much of Saturday (August 24) as the houseguests played in a “classic” Veto Competition.
This “classic” Veto Competition is the one with prizes and punishments.
Competing in rounds, a houseguest gets eliminated at the end of each round. They then select a mystery gift, which can be a prize or a punishment.
The houseguest opens their gift to reveal what they have received. It can be the Power of Veto, a rough punishment, or a prize like cash or a trip.
Each successive eliminated houseguest can select a new gift or steal the one the previous houseguest received.
This can lead to much drama, especially if a houseguest steals a trip or cash someone else wants.
What happened at the Big Brother 26 ‘classic’ Veto Competition?

"Whitney & Bre" revealed a surprising twist where the supposed victims were actually scheming together for a chance to meet. "Alfred & Adonis" featured a shocking post-reveal fight and showed how toxic relationships can lead to manipulation and deceit. "Lucas & Many" exposed a serial catfisher who had been manipulating multiple people, resulting in a cathartic confrontation with the victims.
The following contains mentions of murder, suicide, bullying, violence, and sexual misconduct.

Netflix’s One Piece Live Action has set a trend of anime live adaptations. After its enormous success, more anime franchises are coming up with their live adaptations. The concept of live adaptations was deemed a failure due to the several flops in this category. Eiichiro Oda’s new venture scared the fans since it could ruin the anime’s popularity. But after its release, it became an internet sensation, streaming in 80+ countries.
In the One Piece anime, the members joined the crew with specific dreams to fulfill. But as they journeyed together, they became best of friends, willing to sacrifice their dreams for their friends. The same thing happened with the live-action cast also. They became best friends and often pulled pranks on each other. The latest one was done by Mackenyu on Taz Skylar.

The opportunity to star as one of the most prominent characters in the entire One Piece series comes with a huge downside. The only pirate crew to ever reach Laugh Tale and discover the One Piece treasure was the Roger Pirates, but even they shocked the fandom when they revealed that they arrived on the island twenty years earlier. This proved that there was something on an island that would take 20 years and possibly bring a big change to the One Piece world.

Portraying a fantastical character in a live-action series can be a tough job, especially if the character is from one of the biggest anime franchises, like One Piece. It not only requires perfection in terms of emotions and expressions but also requires absolute mastery of physical aspects like battles and fights. However, Taz Skylar somehow managed to get away with it.

Rhea Seehorn praises Anna Gunn's portrayal of Skylar and highlights the unfair backlash Gunn faced from certain viewers. The Kim Wexler actor gave her thoughts on why Skylar faced so much scrutiny from Breaking Bad viewers. Skylar's character in Breaking Bad was crucial for the show's narrative and integral to Walt's transformation from protagonist to anti-hero.
Better Call Saul star Rhea Seehorn addresses the backlash against Breaking Bad's Skyler White (Anna Gunn). While Seehorn was celebrated for her performance as Kim Wexler, Gunn had a far different experience during and after Breaking Bad's five seasons. With Walter White (Bryan Cranston) positioned as the protagonist in Breaking Bad, and Skyler opposing much of his increasingly immoral action, the character and the actor were unjustly reviled by certain viewers. Gunn has more recently shared how the public perception of Skyler has shifted more positively over time.

"Breaking Bad" is one of the great television tragedies of all time, following high school chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) on an incredible downward spiral after he decides to start dealing meth in the wake of a devastating health diagnosis. There are quite a few truly soul-crushing moments throughout the show's five-season run because no one was really safe and major characters could get taken out in an instant — heck, even the show's beating heart, Jesse (Aaron Paul), almost bought the farm back in season 1! But one of the most heart-wrenching scenes of all has nothing to do with death, instead happening when Walt abducts his infant daughter, Holly, in the season 5 scorcher "Ozymandias."

Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus One Piece stands as a monumental figure in the anime and manga industry for featuring a rich and captivating story with vibrant characters with a mysterious past. Oda-Sensei’s world has been ravaged by pirates on the hunt for the legendary treasure which happens to be the same name as the show. It has been 27 years since the first chapter of the Shonen series which was published in 1997, none has managed to find it.

During the Paris Fan Festival, Taz Skylar, the actor cast to portray Sanji in Netflix’s One Piece Live-Action series, opened up about the initial wave of negative comments he faced on social media following the casting announcement.
During the festival’s Q/A session, Taz recounted his very first exposure to criticism and it was around the time when the One Piece casting news came out. He revealed that his friends informed him that his name was trending on Twitter alongside references to his resemblance to rapper Eminem.
“The best way to get me to do something is tell me I can’t do it,” Skylar stated, revealing that rather than being deterred by the negative feedback, he found motivation in the challenge. “I remember I laughed because I was like, you know what, they have a point. I do kind of look a little bit like Em,” he added.

Anna Gunn is simply stunning in the recently released Apple TV series, Sugar. Not only does the actress do an incredible job, but it seems refreshing to see her once again on the screen, for it has been a while since she was last seen there. It was the script of the Colin Farrell-starrer series that eventually made her say yes to the show.

Skylar was one of the few Breaking Bad characters not to physically appear in Better Call Saul. Anna Gunn explained that the character of Skylar faced lots of vitriol but believes that the writers couldn't find a natural way to incorporate her in the spinoff. Despite some major cameos, Better Call Saul is a story about Jimmy McGill, Kim Wexler, and Mike Ehrmantraut.
Breaking Bad's Anna Gunn opens up about why she didn't reprise her role as Skyler White in Better Call Saul. By the end of the AMC spinoff, several prominent Breaking Bad actors had cameos in Better Call Saul. That includes Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, in their respective roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, and Betsy Brandt and Dean Norris, who reprised Marie and Hank Schrader. But despite speculation that Skyler, Walter's wife, would appear, the character is only referenced, but she does not show up on-camera.

Taz Skylar, the actor who played Vinsmoke Sanji in One Piece live-action season one has recently been getting a lot of love and appreciation from One Piece and anime fans as the actor is preparing extensively for his character in the second season. He has been posting his progress on Instagram and fans are encouraging him.
Taz Skylar as Sanji
His performance in season 1 was one of the best portrayals as he fit perfectly for the character of the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. He not only looked the part, but he even performed his stunts and prepared for it physically which was a big thing for him as he had little experience in terms of combat and stunts.
However, there was one stunt in the One Piece live-action series season 1 that Skylar considered to be the most difficult stunt and because of that, it was almost removed from the series.

Netflix’s One Piece Live Action has become a massive hit after a couple of weeks of its release. Initially, fans thought it would turn out to be a failure, considering Netflix’s failed venture in the live adaptations of anime. But with Eiichiro Oda’s involvement, the executives had no margin for error, and watching season one’s massive success, Netflix renewed it for another season.
Monkey D. Luffy’s journey to become the King of the Pirates is more difficult than it sounds. He needs to acquire a few loyal allies who would aid them in his journey. On top of that, he cannot fulfill his dream on an empty stomach. For that, he recruited Vinsmoke Sanji to be his crew’s chef. Like the anime, the actors in the live-action are very good friends in real life.
