Marcelo Botta, 39, Brazilian author and filmmaker. In 2024, his first feature film Betânia was selected at the 74th Berlinale (Panorama) and Cinélatino Toulouse (Coup de Coeur). The feature participated in Ventana Sur 2022's First Cut session and won three post-production prizes. Prior to Betânia, he created and directed many documentary and fiction series for Paramount+, MTV and FOX, filming in over 20 countries. Auto Posto, series created and directed by Botta had two seasons that were a success with critics and audiences on Comedy Central between 2020 and 2023.
