Vanya Rainova

Vanya Rainova started her career as writer and producer of the short film Pride, which won the Grand Prix at Clermont Ferrand and was nominated for the European Film Awards in 2014. Since then, she has written and/or produced award-winning fiction and documentary films, which competed in the world leading festivals, including Locarno IFF, Rotterdam IFF, Clermont Ferrand ISFF, HotDocs, Vision du Reel, Warsaw, Black Nights Tallinn, etc. Vanya holds an MFA in creative writing from The University of San Francisco. She is a graduate of Eurodoc (2015), EAVE (2016), MIDPOINT Feature Launche (2019) and Biennale College Cinema (2021). In 2023 she was selected by the European Film Promotion for the Producers on the Move programme at Cannes IFF.
