Laré Birk is a multi-award winning South African actress and director known for her roles as Julia in Pulse, Simone in Dominee Tienie and Michelle in Vir Altyd. She has appeared in numerous television and film productions including Binnelanders, Hoener met die Rooi Skoene and Axis Mundi, to name a few.
In 2015 she won "Best existing short film" at the Silwerskermfees for directing of Dearest Elle and in 2020 she was nominated for "Best female Villian" at the Royal Soapie Awards and "Best short film" for Donker, which she directed.
After studying film production at the North West University in Potchefstroom he relocated to Johannesburg where she started a career in the entertainment industry, both on and off screen. She has appeared in numerous film and television productions as an actress, but also directed for both television and film. Recently she has been working as art director on various productions.
She resides in Johannesburg and continue working in both local and international productions
