Kyle Marra's passion for film ignited at a very young age. During high school, two remarkable English teachers played a pivotal role in shaping his analytical skills. They taught him how to break down stories, examine plot devices, and delve into character motivations. While these skills were initially honed in the classroom, Kyle soon began applying them to the movies he watched, transforming his viewing experience into a deeper, more critical exploration of film. This sparked his fascination with the filmmaking process.

His curiosity drove him to research his favorite films, delving into how they were made. The more he read and watched, the stronger his desire grew to be part of the process. This passion led him to pursue acting, a path that offered him invaluable on-set experience and insight into various aspects of filmmaking.

After years of learning and encouragement from influential friends, Kyle founded Root and Branch Films. The company has become a creative haven, enabling him and others to refine their filmmaking skills while fostering a collaborative environment. Root and Branch Films provides a platform for actors, writers, editors, cinematographers, costume designers, and graphic designers to express themselves and contribute to the art of storytelling.
