Vault director Tom DeNucci’s new film Johnny & Clyde is usually referred to as a “crime thriller”, but we’ve also heard that the story shifts gears to become a “balls-to-the-wall slasher/horror” flick. Since I have been a dedicated slasher fan since the 1980s, I’m looking forward to checking it out when it receives a theatrical and VOD release this Friday, May 5th. With the release just a few days away, a trailer for Johnny & Clyde has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.
Scripted by DeNucci and Nick Principe, Johnny & Clyde follows the two eponymous serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino run by crime boss Alana and her head of security.

James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" will be the final adventure for the eponymous cosmic team — but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the end of the line for the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For all the hype surrounding the trilogy's final entrant, there's also cause for concern among MCU fans. With Gunn currently serving as the co-head of DC Studios, it's safe to assume his time playing in the MCU sandbox is drawing to a close for now. But again, what of the Guardians themselves? Will they return to cross paths with other Marvel superheroes in the future? For that matter, will we even see them again in the MCU?
Amid speculation that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" might mark the death of a beloved character (or characters), at least we're guaranteed one more adventure with Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer. The wrestler-turned-actor's light-hearted portrayal of...

In the sixth episode of new NBC sitcom “Young Rock,” based on the real life of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, his father, Rocky Johnson (Joseph Lee Anderson), prepares for and then wrestles in a Battle Royal. The way the match was written, there were 18 performers who would take each other out one, or a few, at a time, leaving Rocky to become the Polynesian Pacific champion. It’s a stunt-heavy sequence that includes performers hitting each other with chairs. Meanwhile Lia (Ana Tuisila) thinks Rocky is going to cross her and leave for a rival wrestling company. So, unbeknownst to Rocky, she changes the outcome at the last minute so that the Iron Sheik (Brett Azar) wins. This results in an emotional realization within the ring for Rocky, as well as an impromptu compromise from both men as to how exactly he will lose.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s autobiographical NBC comedy “Young Rock” has found its Vince McMahon in comedian Adam Ray, TheWrap has learned. Additionally, the role of “Macho Man” Randy Savage is being played by Kevin Makely, we’re told.
Ray, who voiced Slimer in 2016’s “Ghostbusters,” will play the future WWE Chairman as he worked his way up the ladder in his father’s pro-wrestling promotional business. Makely, who starred in 2019 western “Badland,” is a spot-on casting as one of the WWF’s most colorful characters.
Below are character descriptions for McMahon, Savage and the rest of the main wrestlers this side of Dwayne’s own dad Rocky Johnson (played by Joseph Lee Anderson). Find our first-look photos of Ray as McMahon and Makely as Savage at the bottom of the post.

You’re terminated… The stakes seem higher than ever these days, whether a Aaa action film is a success or a failure. The amount of money that needs to be pumped into these films, plus the global marketing often means that new ideas are cast aside for the more likely bet of a sequel, prequel or remake. Very quickly then the talk now turns to a “franchise” rather than a film series as, of course now we are talking about funko pops and various other plastic tat that we nerds can’t seem to resist.
On the one hand, it has meant that kids from the 1980s, like me have got to wallow in our own crapulence for years.

"This doesn't look like anything I've ever seen." Witness Films has debuted the official trailer for an indie thriller titled Night Sweats, the latest feature from filmmaker Andrew Lyman-Clarke (of Have You Seen). This pharma thriller is about a skateboarder whose roommate mysteriously dies one night. Attempting to figure out what happened, he uncovers the inner-workings a self-help company, and the pharmaceutical lab behind it. Starring Kyle DeSpiegler, with Mary Elaine Ramsey, Brett Azar, Allison Mackie, John Wesley Shipp, Jason Abrams, and Trey Gibbons. This looks like one of those cautionary tales where they borrow real-world issues (like big pharma's obsession with opioids) and turn it into some horror-esque film as a way of expressing frustration. Unfortunately, I don't think this has much of anything else to offer. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Andrew Lyman-Clarke's Night Sweats, direct from YouTube: A skateboarder named Nick (John Wesley Shipp...

"I'm done running! I'm going to stand, and fight!" Paramount has debuted a new "Extended Preview" for Terminator: Dark Fate focusing on the Mission of Dani, played by Mexican actress Natalia Reyes in this sixth Terminator movie. This one acts as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day, starting up the day after Judgement Day. It seems Dani is the character being saved from the Terminators this time, just like John Connor was saved by Arnie in T2. Badass actress Linda Hamilton returns as the first Sarah Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back again, along with Edward Furlong as the original John Connor. Cameron is producing and is credited on the story. The full cast includes Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna as another Terminator, with Diego Boneta, Alicia Borrachero, Steven Cree, Tábata Cerezo, Brett Azar, & Claudia Trujillo. Let's hope this movie is good, since these trailers aren't the best.

The Spanish capital of Madrid is currently playing host to Tim Miller’s Terminator movie, and just like Halloween before it, the Skydance-backed revival will ignore all sequels in the franchise’s admittedly convoluted timeline – save for James Cameron’s seminal T2: Judgment Day, of course.
Production has only just begun, but it wasn’t long before media outlets caught wind of Brett Azar’s involvement. Terminator fans may remember the stunt double from his work on Genisys, where he played a younger version of Arnold Schwarzenegger. That tells us Tim Miller’s 2019 sequel will harken back to the ’90s, where we’ll likely catch a glimpse of a T-800 model still fresh from the production line.
Ditto for Jude Collie, who would pass for a young Leonardo DiCaprio any day of the week. This time around? He’s purportedly signed on to play the young John Connor for The Terminator.

A little Hart and a big Johnson. What a tagline that is! Warner Bros has debuted the first trailer and poster for next summer's comedy Central Intelligence, starring Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. The story is about a CIA agent who brings in his old high school friend to help on a mission, but obviously he doesn't fit in. Central Intelligence also stars Oscar nominee Amy Ryan, plus Aaron Paul, Brett Azar, Megan Park and Danielle Nicolet. There's nothing much to say before other than maybe a few people will laugh, maybe they won't. Though I think we can all agree that shot at the end pretty much ruins everything, no? Here's the first trailer for Rawson Marshall Thurber's Central Intelligence, direct from WB's YouTube: The story follows a one-time bullied geek who grew up to be a lethal CIA agent (Johnson), coming home for his high school reunion.
