Sid De La Cruz

Sid De La Cruz, M.A., was born in San Jose, California and is an award winning film, video game, concert composer and record producer. He is know for, Hell On The Border (Hulu, Epix, Amazon), Atone (Netflix), and Unearthing Mars 2 (Playstation VR), which have had a theatrical releases. He is sponsored by the very popular music company, Image-Line. He studied both classical music composition and jazz composition at San Jose State University with Grammy nominated and Grammy winning professors. He then was offered a scholarship to Claremont Graduate University, where he continued his musical studies and received his Masters degree, also in music composition. While attending Claremont Graduate University, he had the privilege to study with a Grammy nominated professor and an active concert composer. During his final semesters at Claremont, he simultaneously attended UCLA's Film Scoring program and was a recipient of the prestigious, BMI Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship. He was interviewed on the television program, "American Latino TV" which aired nation wide on CBS and on KCAL 9, Los Angeles.

After graduating both Claremont and UCLA, he interned with Trevor Morris and at Hans Zimmer's, Remote Control Productions. He was later hired by Trevor Morris. He has had the pleasure to work with composers Kurt Farquhar and Tony Morales.

He has also produced records for artist such as, Laroo T.H.H (The Hard Hitter) who is signed to Bay Area legend E-40's record label, Lil' Ric, who was signed to Master P's record label. Has done a official remix to Honorebel Feat. Pitbull - Seize The Night and was the official record producer to the rap group, TeamNetwork, based in Fresno, CA. Their 1st single, "The Team" which was produced by Sid, started to bring awareness to the group which led to getting radio interviews. His music has also been on 106.1 KMEL Bay Area's radio station.

He was selected to participate in the, Cannes Film Festival Marché du Film, Spot The Composer. Only 10 get selected world wide. He was also selected to participate in the biggest animation film festival, Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Meet The Composer, in Annecy, France. He is a member of the Television Academy (Emmys), The Recording Academy (Grammys), The Latin Recording Academy (Latin Grammys), and the Composer Diversity Collective. He was also recognized as a, "Breakthrough Composer of the Year", "Best Score for an Action/Thriller/Drama (Hell On The Border)" & "Best Individual Track from a Film Score (Hell On The Border)" by Jon Mansell Movie Music International, who is a member of the, "International Film Music Critics Association". Sid De La Cruz resides in Los Angeles, California.
