Edwin Lewis is American screenplay writer, director, producer and film maker, who has emerged as a person to watch. Making films with meager budgets, and small crews, he has gotten the attention of major players in the film industry and good things are expected from him.
Lewis is President/CEO of CotLu Films. Mr. Lewis has worked in management, sales, or sales management for much or his professional career and has a proven record for success. The creative mind behind the company's start up, Lewis has been writing, and creating stories since he was in his early teens. A sharp thinking proactive professional with a strong focus and creative mind Mr. Lewis is the writer behind the original law/crime drama, "The PO".
Lewis holds a degree in Economics from North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, NC and is a strong supporter of the school. He plans to give a percentage of the revenues from this films to the Entrepreneurship program to promote new business creation.
Mr. Lewis's greatest pleasure is his family, he and his wife have been married over 24 years and have three children, Ashley(24), Edwin II (23), and Elyssia (21) and one grandson Dion (5) (Ashley).
Mr. Lewis is an accomplished aviation student who has passed the FAA exam and will receive his pilot certificate in the coming months.
Lewis wrote, co-Produced with his brothers Donald Lewis, Earl Lewis and Derrick Lewis, directed, filmed and edited his first film, "The Return" which stars Christopher "Play" Martin from the hit Hip-Hop Duel "Kid & Play" and went on to do several shorts, commercials, and music videos before taking on another feature film.
He has one documentary to his credit, "Surviving The Big "C", a provocative film about surviving cancer. He Co-Produced with Justin Pierce, the feature drama film "Leaving Th Game" which was originally film as a short.
