Matt Musgrove is an actor, singer, and writer. He can be seen on Amazon Prime as the comedic soldier Sullivan in the new 80's thriller The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus (2022) with Danny Trejo, Nick Chinlund, and Kevin Grevioux as well as the villain Black Scar in the fantasy film The Zodiac Fighters (2017) with Tom Bower in Bejing, China. On television, Musgrove is seen performing in the show In Ice Cold Blood (2018) on the Oxygen channel.
Musgrove was born in Eugene, Oregon is a proud Equity Member, and holds a BFA Degree in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College in New York. The son of Mark Musgrove, the past President of The National Funeral Directors Association, Musgrove grew up "six feet under" working for his family's business while becoming a professional actor.
An accomplished stage actor, Musgrove portrayed Alexander in the powerful drama "The Pliant Girls", which received eight Ovation nominations and won two Ovation awards, revived at The Colony Theatre in Los Angeles. He received glowing reviews in the LA Times and StageSceneLA, observing Musgrove's performance as "top-notch," and "particularly choice" for his multiple characters in the west coast premiere of "The Burnt Part Boys" at Hollywood's Third Street Theatre working opposite Tony Award, Grammy Award, and Drama Desk Award-winning actress Lauren Patten.
In 2022, Musgrove completed seven AEA shows including the unflinching revised premiere of "Pass Over" by Antoinette Nwandu as Mister/Ossifer, and executed complex musical arrangements to full houses in "All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914" in Boise, Idaho.
