Megan Wilding has established a reputation as a prolifically talented actor, writer and director. A proud Gamilaroi woman, Megan is also a graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Since graduation, Megan has performed in productions for a number of main stage theatre companies, including the Sydney Theatre Company, where she played leading roles in Banging Denmark, Blithe Spirit and Blackie Blackie Brown, and Belvoir St Theatre, where she performed in The Rover. Megan also wrote, performed and directed A Little Piece of Ash for KXT.
Megan has also appeared on television in productions such as Mystery Road: Origin, The Moth Effect and The Edge of the Bush. Megan's feature film credits include the critically lauded film We Are Still Here which opened the 2022 Sydney Film Festival and screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Megan's work has garnered her much acclaim, including the prestigious Griffin Theatre Award and the Balnaves Foundation Indigenous Playwright's Award from the Belvoir St Theatre.
Megan is slated to appear in ABC's upcoming comedy miniseries GoldDiggers, set in the rough and tumble world of Australia's gold rush era.
