David Emanuel Faria has appeared in various plays, films, musicals, voice overs and TV shows. An award-winning actor, producer and writer, David's first project as a writer and producer, Davey's Diary, won several awards, including Best Web Series at the Direct Short and Documentary Film Festival and a nomination for the Best Web Series at the Orlando International Film Festival. It was also featured on Narcity's 11 Toronto Based Web Series You Need To Check Out and gained distribution on streaming platforms including Sparkk TV.
Since then, he has produced and acted in several films which also went to numerous film festivals all over the world and won awards such as: Best International Film for The Kiss at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Comedy at the Out & Loud - Pune International Film Festival for Mom's The Word. David's production company, DECO Pictures, recently also co-produced a short film, Being Brave, that was granted funding by the Canada Council for the Arts.
A Toronto native, David has had the opportunity to perform in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. He graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Drama Studies and Political science, and has studied acting and singing in New York City, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, Lisbon and Toronto.
