- Binod Paudel, 1978, is a Nepali film director, writer and producer based in the US. He completed Bachelor's degree in Film Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity St. David University, UK. He has also served as the CEO and Principal of Oscar International College - College of Film Studies for 10 years. As the writer of the critically-acclaimed film Saanghuro(2013), he received the National and Critics' Awards and the prestigious SAARC Film Festival 'Best Fiction Feature' prizes. Saanghuro was the first Nepali movie acquired and broadcast on the UK's CHANNEL 4. Additionally, he was awarded the "Best Writer of the Year" by Nepal's President at the 2013 National Award and Critics Society of Nepal ceremony. His first directorial debut Bulbul (2019) as writer/director, was released across Nepal in 2019 was officially submitted for 93rd Academy Awards in foreign category. It is already regarded as the 'Top Film of the Year, 2019' by national publications for its poetic realism, fresh naturalistic take, and unforgettable characters. Bulbul received the public choice award at the South Asian Film Festival.
