Kate Shenton is a London based screenwriter with a passion for genre. She is represented by Mark Casarotto at Casarotto Ramsay & Associates. Her TV comedy series "The Big O" won the grand final of the Shore Scripts TV Pilots Contest and her TV pilot "Savage" won the Filmmatic Horror/Thriller Screenplay Award. Her comedy pilot script 'Ace' made the semifinals for the Screen Writing Network Sokolow Award, and her drama pilot script 'Belladonna' was long listed for the BBC Writers Room. She won first place on the Starlight Residency for her web series script "Dead in Love", where she spent two weeks at there studio developing the project.
Her comedy horror, web series 'Netfl!x and Kill', was nominated for Best British Web Series at the Pilot Light TV Festival. She was nominated for the Screen International Rising Horror Star award for her debut feature film "Egomaniac," which enjoyed a limited theatrical run, finishing at the Prince Charles Cinema. It achieved international festival success, screening at film festivals such as Fright Fest, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (where it was nominated for two awards) and Dublin Horrorthon. It was also featured in Starburst Magazine, Sci-fi Now and The Guardian.
