Fighting Olympus opens on Biddle’s (Devinair Mathis) last day as a member of the Swat team. On the way to his final assignment, he asks his brother Rucker (Leslie A. Jones) to join him in retirement. He says he can’t, somebody has to offset all the corrupt cops in the department. “What are you, the black Captain America?” Actually, it’s Biddle whose path seems to resemble that of The Original Avenger. He’s trading in his badge to work outside of the system with Ayasha (Anaya T. Kaur), a reporter who takes on important and potentially dangerous stories. Unfortunately, something goes wrong and they’re seemingly killed pursuing a story.

We’re getting the first look at Nicole Kang (Dr. Mary Hamilton) as Poison Ivy in the CW’s Batwoman. See the image below.
After being infected by a missing “Bat Trophy” – a mysterious thorn – Mary’s journey culminates next week in the Nov. 24 midseason finale “Double Trouble” episode as she fully transforms into the supervillain.
In the Nov. 17 episode we learned that Mary had been infected by one of Pam Isley’s vines, and now “the selfless and caring Mary Hamilton (Kang) we’ve come to know and love is taking a backseat to a pernicious and virulent version of herself. No longer content with her supporting role on the Bat Team, Poison Ivy Mary uses her newfound powers to stand up, stand out, and express her most deeply buried opinions and desires — regardless of who or what may be in her way. But more awaits Mary as her...

We’ve already seen some set photos taken from a distance which gave us a decent glimpse at it, but now The CW has unveiled our first proper look at Javicia Leslie’s superhero suit in Batwoman season 2. The God Friended Me actress is taking over as the new lead of the DC TV series following Ruby Rose leaving the role of Kate Kane behind. In her place, Leslie will play Ryan Wilder, a streetwise young woman who inherits the cape and cowl, and she’s going to be making a few changes to the Bat-wardrobe.
As you can see in the two stylish promo images in the gallery below, Ryan Wilder’s Batwoman will wear a modified version of Kate Kane’s costume. Some notable changes are the red gauntlets on her forearms, shorter boots, an altered cowl and a new wig. Wilder will ditch Kate’s bright red...

The CW has released two first-look images for the “Batwoman” suit redesign based around actress Javicia Leslie’s character, Ryan Wilder.
The outfit will be featured starting in Season 2, episode 3, and is the first original design for the new Batwoman, as Leslie takes over the mantle from Ruby Rose, who led the show during its first season. Leslie is the first Black woman to portray a live-action version of the superhero on TV or film.
“I love the fact that Ryan is becoming her own Batwoman — it’s her style, her swag, and her moment,” Leslie said in a statement. “I felt it was important that viewers could tell by the silhouette that Batwoman was a Black girl. With the form-fitting suit and beautiful Afro, we definitely nailed it!”
The new outfit was conceptualized by Maya Mani and created by Ocean Drive Leather, while Janice Workman crafted the wig and Cory Roberts styled the makeup.

One month out from festival season getting underway in North America, organizers of the Toronto International Film Festival have detailed the offerings to be featured in both the Midnight Madness and documentary programs.
Kicking things off on September 8 is Antoine Fuqua’s modern redo of The Magnificent Seven, flanked by such Oscar favorites as Nate Parker’s Sundance hit The Birth of a Nation and Manchester By the Sea.
From there, Deadline has confirmed that the Midnight Madness section will play host to Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire, welcoming the filmmaker back to Tiff following successful turns with High-Rise and A Field in England.
