Andrew is an English film maker, director and actor based
in Jakarta, Indonesia.
He fell in love with acting at the University of Warwick in 1986, where he appeared in several student productions, including I'm Dreaming Or Am I? by Pirandello and Tooth of Crime by Sam Shepard.
He moved to Jakarta Indonesia in 1988 and has been acting in Jakarta's English language theatre scene ever since, appearing in over 20 plays over the past ten years alone and directing many short plays and full-length dramas. He has also appeared in some short films as an actor, most recently in the movie version of Keluarga Cemara.
Andrew studied film at Sydney Film School and has been trained in acting by Clarence White at the Actor's Studio Sydney, as well as by renowned acting guru Margie Haber.
Andrew teaches directing, drama and filmmaking at a private university in Jakarta and writes screenplays for short films and feature films. He is married to Indonesian TV anchor and actress Marissa Anita.
Andrew speaks Indonesian fluently and works with actors in Indonesian in his acting classes.
