Tim Sharp(II)
- Director
- Writer
- Visual Effects
Tim Sharp was born in the most isolated city on Earth, Perth, Western Australia, to Dutch and Australian parents. From an early age he loved stories, drawing comics, writing and acting in his own plays. After attending a specialist school for dramatic performance, he briefly studied film and TV before dropping out to work in the screen industry in Canada and the United States, working on films such as Godzilla, Transformers: Age of Extinction and television shows such as The Expanse in both production and visual effects before becoming a film director in his own right with the release of the science fiction comedy "Light Can't Escape".
His work frequently explores the boundary line between the surreal and the dramatic, often with a twist of ironic humor. His influences include Jorge Luis Borges, Stan Brakhage, Frank Tashlin and Nobuhiko Ôbayashi.
