Born April 12th, 1983 in Monticello, IN, on his grandmother and
grandfather's bed,( on his grandpa's side, cause he is ornery). Johnny
Ray Meyer was born to entertain. From an early age at 4, playing the
harmonica for the local tubers on the Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake,
TX. To being in plays in the 1st grade, Peter and the Wolf, portraying
the duck, and perfecting the waddle walk. Then being in musicals such
as, The Lion King in 5th grade. Through all of this he moved around a
lot, bouncing back and forth from school to school but still managing
to become apart of the National Honor Society and staying a straight A
student. His junior & senior year at Twin Lakes High School back in his
hometown of Monticello, IN was a momentum change in his life of
pursuing acting. He begin exploring more into plays and musicals such
as, Oklahoma, A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol as The Lad, and Crazy
For You as the gun slinging Billy in which he still is the only one to
have done the most dangerous stunt in a musical to this day at the
school in which he fell 15ft, free fall over the banister to the floor
to only hit, roll up onto his feet and act like he was dying after
being shot. It had been quite a few years before he got back into
acting when a talent scout spotted him and asked him to sign up for a
new talent agency in San Antonio, TX called Creative Talent Agency
managed and created by two of San Antonio's own talented
actors/directors, Derek Lee Nixon and
Andrew Pozza. From their he found some bit
roles in
_Mia's Father(Secret At Arrow Lake)_(2009)_,
Zombie Movie,
What's Up Famousface (2010).
But he caught his break for when he auditioned for the role of Jacob in
a film directed by Alexander Shumake
and produced by Bill Shumake, a father and
son duo production team, of Angry Nun Productions called
Killer School Girls from Outer Space (2011).
He has just finished filming the short film,
Dream Date (2011) with good friend and
director/writer/producer, John Darren, another Creative Talent Agency
talent.
