Ming Mei is her Chinese name. Akemi is her Middle name, also spelled
with the same Kanji. Both names were given to her by her Chinese
Grandmother and Japanese Grandmother at birth.
Represented the U.S. National Team in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the 2002 World Championships.
Graduated from The Gallatin School at New York University.
Starred in the music video for Animal Collective's "Bluish".
