Joshua is an artist at heart. Growing up, he could be found bringing his visual imagination into life, in many art mediums. In high school, he became inspired to pursue filmmaking, and started editing his first short films. Joshua studied Motion Pictures & Television at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, with a focus in Editing. After graduating with honors in 2012, he moved to Los Angeles, to join the film industry. 12 years later, he has built a resume working freelance in post-production at a wide range of different film and television studios, both large and small, including Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, Netflix, Apple, Marvel, Dreamworks, Legendary, Lionsgate, Amazon and MGM.
Joshua's editorial experience includes blockbuster feature films, in addition to many television shows for channels including ABC, CBS, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Oprah Winfrey's Network, TruTV, Vudu, Yahoo! and Facebook Watch. During his spare time, he has been approached by many independent filmmakers over the years to edit short films, music videos, sizzle reels and other video content.
Joshua's past film editing work has been screened at many film festivals, where he has won awards for Best Editing at Indie Shorts Fest (2019) and Best Comedy Editing at LA Web Fest (2017). He joined the Motion Picture Editor's Guild (MPEG Local 700) in 2018, and has since been working on union productions. Joshua also occasionally writes and directs his own short films.
