The New Yorkers were a trio of musicians who played in Los Angeles area night clubs and local Southern California television during the fifties. They Cal Gooden, violin and guitar, Bill Baker, piano and organ, and Bob Meyer, bass and fiddle. They were the house band on Johnny Carson's short-lived first television show, Carson's Cellar.
