Kara Durrett is the 2023 Sundance Producers Award winner, 2021 nominee for the Independent Spirit Piaget Producers Award and 2019 Sundance Producing Lab Fellow. Kara has played hundreds of festivals with shorts and feature films including Cannes, Telluride, SXSW, Sundance and many others across the world, and hopes to continue tellings stories by new filmmakers. She is currently the President of Pinky Promise Films, a film financing and production company making films by underrepresented filmmakers telling stories about hope and a little bit of magic.
