Ishraq Shah(I)

Ishraq Shah is a baker by profession and a writer by birth. That means he can bake you a good story. His 'break into industry' was the time when he worked and learned under Gulzar Saab. He learnt to write and read in Urdu, and fell in love with the beautiful language. His project with Gulzar Saab, Documentary on 50years of Sahitya Akademi and Tehreer Munshi Premchand ki... was magnum opus for National Television- Doordarshan. He wrote a Science series for Vigyan Prasar "Baatein Raaz Ki" was nominated for the Golden Beaver award in 2008. After this, he left Mumbai and started a new trade of Fabrication based on the outskirts of Mumbai. In this period, he wrote short stories and also a book, called 'Shab-Bedari Awakening at night' which was sponsored by Red Ice films. A few years later, in 2017, he came back to Red Ice Films. He worked with Robbie Grewal and wrote dialogue for his movie 'Romeo Akbar Walter'.
