“Dave” is going on hiatus, as its co-creator and star Dave Burd, aka Lil Dicky, eyes other projects.

FX Networks has not officially renewed the comedy series for Season 4. The third season aired from April-May in 2023.

“After some back and forth, there are no current plans for a fourth season of ‘Dave’ right now, as Dave Burd has decided to take an extended break to focus on music and other ventures,” FX said in a statement. “That does not rule out the possibility of doing something in the future. We love the show and sincerely appreciate the creative excellence Dave, Jeff Schaffer, the cast and crew delivered with every episode. We are excited that our partnership with Dave will continue as he develops future projects for us through his overall production deal with Fxp.”

There are “no current plans” for a fourth season of the Fxx comedy as co-creator and star Dave Burd “presses pause” to focus on other things.

Burd, otherwise known as Lil Dicky, has long talked about his music career and wanting to record more albums. Penith, the soundtrack to Dave, featuring the single “Mr. McAdams,” was released last month.

At dinner, Martin Solomon (David Schwimmer), a TV writer with directorial aspirations, laments the state of his industry. In addition to their disdain for lazy and too-sensitive audiences, he and his friend, Augustus (Fred Melamed), discuss the limitations of narrative filmmaking. The 27-year-old model and 29-year-old rapper sat courtside Friday night for Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, and they seemed to have a blast. When they weren’t whispering sweet things into their ears or posing for photos, the couple appeared really into the game, which the Lakers won in convincing fashion.

An eyewitness tells Et that when the “Me porto bonito” rapper was featured on the jumbotron, he seemed surprised. On their way to get beers, the eyewitness said they greeted fans along the way. We’re told they seemed comfortable together.

At one point, rapper Taco Bennett snapped a pic of famed photographer Renell Medrano and Kendall, both of whom happily flipped off the camera.

The couple sat courtside with their friends, where they were photographed laughing and whispering in each other's ears. We haven’t seen the last of Ally, the onscreen ex-girlfriend to Dave “Lil Dicky” Burd on FX’s hit comedy series “Dave.” Executive producer Dave Shin told TheWrap she’ll be making a comeback to the show on Season 3.

Netflix’s list of films premiering on the streaming service in 2023 isn’t nearly as long as their ambitious 2022 film slate. Yet even with a slimmed-down slate, the lineup of movies arriving this year is impressive and checks off nearly every genre.

The streamer will be dipping back into familiar territory with sequels to Murder Mystery and Extraction. Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, Sam Esmail’s Leave the World Behind, and David Yates’ The Pain Hustlers will premiere this year, as will the film continuation of Luther starring Idris Elba. The streamer’s feature slate has slimmed down significantly from 2022, when 86 films were announced. It should also be noted that nine of the films on today’s list were originally set for release as part of last year’s lineup. Those titles are Dev Patel’s feature directorial debut Monkey Man, Jennifer Lopez actioner The Mother, George C. Wolfe’s civil rights drama Rustin, John Ridley’s Shirley, the Adam Sandler vehicle Spaceman, the Jamie Foxx-starring They Cloned Tyrone, the starry comedy We Have a Ghost, Kenya Barris’ first feature You People and South Korea’s Jung_E.

Created by Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer, the Dave TV show stars Burd, Taylor Misiak, Andrew Santino, GaTa, Travis Bennett, and Christine Ko. A single-camera comedy series, it's based on the life of Burd, a rapper and comedian who's known as Lil Dicky on stage. The series revolves around a suburban neurotic man named Dave (Burd). Before wrapping up his TCA panel today for his Fxx series Dave, rapper comedian Dave Burd aka Lil Dicky revealed the guest stars for season 3.

The lineup includes Usher, Rick Ross, Demi Lovato, Don Cheadle, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Killer Mike, and Travis Barker.

“That’s just a fraction and the fraction I haven’t named, will blow you away,” said Burd today at TCA.

Burd stars on the show and co-created the series with Jeff Schaffer.

Schaffer said “On Dave, People like playing funhouse versions of themselves or play with their public perception – a real plus for them. Everyone from Lin-Manuel Miranda playing a passive aggressive asshole. People want to come and have fun.”

As previously announced today, season 3 premieres April 5 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt on Fxx and stream the next day on Hulu. The premiere will include the first two episodes and episodes will stream next day on Hulu.

FX’s most acclaimed rap-themed comedy series, now that “Atlanta” has ended, returns for its third season this spring. Season 3 of “Dave” premieres April 5 on Fxx, the network announced during the Television Critics Association winter press conference January 12.

In addition, FX set the dates for two new “New York Times Presents” specials. “Sin Eater” premieres March 10 simultaneously on FX and Hulu, while “The Legacy of J Dilla” is set for April 7. A new docuseries about Tupac Shakur, “Dear Mama,” premieres on FX April 21.

The three-minute teaser for Barris’ directorial debut delivers a fuller look at Hill’s character, Ezra Cohen, and his effort to find love, and more specifically, woo Lauren London’s Amira Mohammed in Los Angeles. At the top of the trailer, Ezra reveals to his friend (played by Sam Jay) his desperation to find partnership amid feeling “alone, on a building, dangling my legs off wondering what it’s like to feel companionship.”
