Out of all the cars on the road today, there is perhaps no vehicle more associated with Los Angeles than the Mercedes-Benz G-Class — that tall and boxy bank-vault of an SUV which hasn’t really changed shape or size since it was first released by Mercedes-Benz in 1979 as the Geländewagen. The first G’s were made for the trades, rescue services and the military, and Mercedes-Benz likes to tout the fact that more than 80 percent of the G’s ever made are still around on and off-roading.
This all-purpose, go-anywhere vehicle has, throughout the years, had a glow-up or two — and what 45-year-old in the limelight hasn’t. But, at Los Angeles’ Franklin Canyon Park above Beverly Hills on Tuesday, April 23, Mercedes-Benz showed off their latest iteration, one which has had G-Wagen fanatics waiting on tenterhooks: the G 580 with Eq Technology, the first all-electric G-Class model.

Dave is taking a break.
There are “no current plans” for a fourth season of the Fxx comedy as co-creator and star Dave Burd “presses pause” to focus on other things.
Burd, otherwise known as Lil Dicky, has long talked about his music career and wanting to record more albums. Penith, the soundtrack to Dave, featuring the single “Mr. McAdams,” was released last month.
“Making Dave has been and continues to be a dream come true,” he said. “But there are other creative ventures that I am dying to pursue as well. For the past 5 years, I’ve poured every fiber of my being into the show, and after three amazing seasons, this feels like a good time to press pause to give myself the bandwidth to do some of the other things I have always wanted to do. There’s an admirable ambition to Jack Begert’s directorial debut, Little Death. The film, which premiered at Sundance, announces its intentions with an early scene of communal complaint. At dinner, Martin Solomon (David Schwimmer), a TV writer with directorial aspirations, laments the state of his industry. In addition to their disdain for lazy and too-sensitive audiences, he and his friend, Augustus (Fred Melamed), discuss the limitations of narrative filmmaking. Augustus argues that television allows writers to explore the interiority of multiple characters, whereas films can only really sustain one point of view.
With Little Death, Begert tries to prove Augustus wrong. The director, who co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Dani Goffstein, constructs a story plunging viewers into the ravaged emotional lives of different characters. It tries to stretch the bounds of the narrative form, to upend convention and encourage us to rethink our relationship to storytelling. It aims...

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers for Episode 9 of “Dave,” now streaming on Hulu.
Christine Ko’s Emma, the unaffected cool chick in Lil Dicky’s friend group in “Dave,” has been filming a documentary throughout the third season of the FX comedy, which follows Dave Burd’s autofictional title character as he embarks on a “Looking for Love” tour across America.
But the finished product isn’t quite what Dave expects, as Emma includes hidden camera footage of their editing sessions — which paints Dave as obsessive and controlling — in the final cut of the documentary.
After a family and friends screening, Dave tells Emma he was impressed by the movie, but felt “manipulated” by her, arguing that he never gave her permission to film the editing sessions. When he begins to offer feedback, Emma cuts him off: “This isn’t our thing. It’s mine. I’m not compromising my vision for anything…...

Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny hit up the house that Kobe built for date night!
The 27-year-old model and 29-year-old rapper sat courtside Friday night for Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, and they seemed to have a blast. When they weren’t whispering sweet things into their ears or posing for photos, the couple appeared really into the game, which the Lakers won in convincing fashion.
An eyewitness tells Et that when the “Me porto bonito” rapper was featured on the jumbotron, he seemed surprised. On their way to get beers, the eyewitness said they greeted fans along the way. We’re told they seemed comfortable together.
At one point, rapper Taco Bennett snapped a pic of famed photographer Renell Medrano and Kendall, both of whom happily flipped off the camera.

Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny still haven't confirmed that they're dating, but the pair certainly looked cozy during the Lakers game on Friday night. The couple sat courtside with their friends, where they were photographed laughing and whispering in each other's ears. This marks the first time that the rumored couple have made a public appearance together - although it's far from the first time they've been spotted out and about.
The May 12 NBA playoff game was a star-studded affair all around. In addition to Jenner and Bad Bunny, other stars at the game included the model's big sister Kim Kardashian and niece North West, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, and Jack Nicholson. However, Jenner and the "Me Porto Bonito" singer seemed to be in their own world alongside their friends actor Travis Bennett and photographer Renell Medrano. They even had a matching moment thanks to their respective snakeskin boots.

After seven seasons playing Daisy “Skye” Johnson on Agents of Shield, a recurring role on FX comedy Dave was a big change of pace for Chloe Bennet — especially when she’s playing Lil Dicky’s love interest and the show’s star and creator, Dave Burd, is one of her best friends.
Season three sees Lil Dicky on the road on his “Looking for Love Tour,” during which he meets Bennet’s character, a photographer named Robyn. In episode seven, which aired May 10, Robyn comes to L.A. to visit Dave and is faced with one surprise after another. First she learns is it’s his birthday week, then she’s been tasked by his friends with tricking him into showing up at a party at the beach where she’ll meet his parents — and on the way there, he admits that he can’t ride a bike and, more importantly,...

Dave “Lil Dicky” Burd’s Dave is back with season 3. Naturally, many viewers are curious about the cast of the Fxx/Hulu series and where they might have seen the actors before. Find out what shows and movies Andrew Santino, Taylor Misiak, Christine Ko, Travis “Taco” Bennett, and GaTa have been in before, plus who the richest is out of the Dave cast.
Dave ‘Lil Dicky’ Burd and GaTa in season 3 of ‘Dave’ | Byron Cohen/FX Lil Dicky is the wealthiest ‘Dave’ cast member
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lil Dicky is worth an estimated $8 million in 2023. The rapper hasn’t released new music in some time, which means he hasn’t gone on tour and earned money from that revenue stream. Instead, he has been focused on writing new music and his Fxx series.
Burd’s co-star Santino, who plays his manager in the comedy series, ranks second when it comes to net worth.

Befitting its meta narrative, the Fxx series “Dave” and its lead character, Dave Burd, tend to follow parallel paths. The first season sees the aspiring rapper (stage name: Lil Dicky) working to prove he’s a legitimate artist, not just a parody of real musicians. Similarly, the show had to prove itself as more than a prestige TV imitator — a low-brow copycat of “Atlanta” or “Curb Your Enthusiasm” distinguished only by its many, many dick jokes. Check and check. Not only is “Dave” telling its own story from its own perspective, co-creators Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer recognize the opportunity provided when artistic ambition meets gangbuster ratings and designed a stellar Season 2 as a deep-dive into issues like privilege, auteur theory, and appropriation. To prompt such topics, Dave is given an opportunity of his own: a bonafide rap album backed by a record label.

We haven’t seen the last of Ally, the onscreen ex-girlfriend to Dave “Lil Dicky” Burd on FX’s hit comedy series “Dave.” Executive producer Dave Shin told TheWrap she’ll be making a comeback to the show on Season 3.
“Ally is not gone forever. She is definitely part of the unit,” Shin said. “I think you’re going to find, you know, this whole notion of looking for love, she was such an integral part of the first two seasons. I think it would be a shame if we kind of discarded her … She’ll be there for sure.”
Heralded today as FX Network’s most-watched comedy ever, “Dave” returns for its third season on Wednesday on Fxx, and this time around, the quirky rapper is hitting the road, headlining his first-ever tour (aptly called the “Looking for Love” tour) and setting his sights on finding a new love interest for himself.

Season 1 of Dave was about Burd’s initial viral success and his quest to achieve long-lasting fame. In season 2, that fame quickly went to the rapper’s head. As a result, fame compromised some of the most important relationships in his life, especially his girlfriend Ally (Taylor Misiak).
Dave Season 3 strikes a balance between the versions of Lil Dicky we saw in the first two seasons.

The next big Netflix movie ‘You People’ is packed with recognizable stars, but the breakout performer is Travis Bennett. The one-time Odd Future DJ and hype man keeps turning in progressively stronger performances. And he’s capable of trading punches with some of the funniest movie stars in the business.
Bennett has a lot of fans these days. Few are quite as dedicated to watching his rise as one person in particular, though: his mom.

Nobody’s more excited to see Bennett’s emergence as a go-to comedic actor than his mother. She’s always around for his premieres, and she made a point of visiting the set of You People last year. Bennett recounted the silly story on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which was shared on YouTube.

Oftentimes, we tend to forget that celebrities can get themselves into pretty embarrassing predicaments. And occasionally, like in the case of Travis Bennett, those humiliating situations involve a member of the Kardashian-Jenner family and an unexpected nap in the driveway.

The two started hanging out together frequently, and dating rumors soon followed. Jenner even posted a tribute to Bennett on his birthday. However, the two soon made it clear that they were just friends, and not dating.

You People is the upcoming Netflix comedy starring Jonah Hill, Lauren London and Eddie Murphy. It is directed by Kenya Barris and written by Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill.
A movie about dialogues… which are terriffic. This movie bears the brand of its scriptwriters Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill who know how to make a rowdy comedy that is very rowdy and does not offend anyone… or offending people who take themselves a little too seriously.
This is a charming, amusing and intelligent comedy with dialogues that are daring, sophisticated (or not)… the first part.
About the Movie
This movie, which deep down is about what is politically correct that in You People, think that everything, really, is truly stupid. A delicious prank that mocks established things and what we have been told we should say in order to (quote as they say in the movie) to be “cool”.

"I am going to give it everything I have." Netflix has revealed another short teaser trailer for You People, the comedy from the creator / writer of "Black-ish" - Kenya Barris. It's out on Netflix for streaming later this week, hence the new teaser clip debuting now. Though strangely this isn't that funny of a clip, but it might make a few people laugh. A new couple and their very different families find themselves examining modern love and family dynamics amidst clashing cultures, societal expectations & generational differences in this comedy from Barris. Jonah Hill and Lauren London star as the main couple, Ezra and Amira, who try to introduce their families to each other with disastrous results. Also starring Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Duchovny, Sam Jay, Elliott Gould, Travis Bennett, Molly Gordon, Rhea Perlman, Deon Cole, Andrea Savage, and Mike Epps. This doesn't seem like it'll be the funniest comedy,...

Sitcom mastermind Kenya Barris knows his way around the witty rat-a-tat, as a writer and an occasional director. At the helm of his first feature, the Black-ish creator choreographs a who’s who of comic talent and lets them shine — key among them Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jonah Hill, who shares screenwriting credit with Barris. In their L.A. story, the 35-year-old son of affluent white Jews and the daughter of affluent Black Muslims fall in love. Let the comedy of discomfort begin.
You People revels in tipping sacred cows (the Holocaust, slavery, liberals, Black Lives Matter), and yet it fits quite comfortably within a time-tested rom-com formula. The Netflix comedy, receiving a limited theatrical release a week before its Jan. 27 streaming debut, abounds with well-etched characters, a good number of them lovably annoying or just plain ridiculous. Netflix’s list of films premiering on the streaming service in 2023 isn’t nearly as long as their ambitious 2022 film slate. Yet even with a slimmed-down slate, the lineup of movies arriving this year is impressive and checks off nearly every genre.
The streamer will be dipping back into familiar territory with sequels to Murder Mystery and Extraction. Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, Sam Esmail’s Leave the World Behind, and David Yates’ The Pain Hustlers will premiere this year, as will the film continuation of Luther starring Idris Elba. And two romantic comedies with big-name casts made their way into the lineup: Your Place or Mine (Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon) and A Family Affair.
Netflix’s announcement of their 2023 film slate was accompanied by a trailer showcasing 16 titles including You People, The Mother, Heart of Stone, The Killer, and Leo.

Whether you go into the trailer without knowing a thing about it or simply listen to it with your eyes closed, it won't be hard to figure out whose mind is behind Netflix's upcoming original film, "You People." Kenya Barris' fingerprints are all over this project, which fits in neatly with the rest of his resume. Not unlike "Black-ish," "Grown-ish," "Mixed-ish," "BlackAF," and 2022's "Cheaper By The Dozen," Barris' directorial feature debut will explore the struggles of family dynamics and clashing cultures via a modern-day multiracial relationship. This time, the drama is shared between two different families on the verge of becoming one.
When Ezra Cohen (Jonah Hill) and Amira Mohammed (Lauren London) fall in love, they have no choice but to introduce their families and pray that nothing goes terribly wrong. But where's the fun in things going well? The tagline of "You People" speaks for itself: "Opposites attract,...

Netflix has dropped the full trailer for You People, its upcoming Kenya Barris comedy starring and co-written by Jonah Hill.
The three-minute teaser for Barris’ directorial debut delivers a fuller look at Hill’s character, Ezra Cohen, and his effort to find love, and more specifically, woo Lauren London’s Amira Mohammed in Los Angeles. At the top of the trailer, Ezra reveals to his friend (played by Sam Jay) his desperation to find partnership amid feeling “alone, on a building, dangling my legs off wondering what it’s like to feel companionship.”
“I don’t think I’ve heard of a man ever who wanted to be in a relationship so badly besides Drake,” says Jay.
Enter Amira, who — following an airport rideshare mix-up in which Ezra mistakes her for his actual Uber driver — causes Hill’s character to reveal that he’s “never felt so understood by somebody in my entire life.
