Robert Thorpe is an award winning writer and director who's most known for the award winning films "Residue" (Best Editing short form, International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts Los Angeles, 2013) and " The Birthing Field" (Best Director Drama, International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts, Los Angeles, 2014, Best Thriller, Motor City Nightmares Film Festival 2015, 2nd place in the student category at the Horror Hotel Film Festival 2015 ) which he wrote and directed. Robert was born in Elmira NY in 1973 but was raised in southern California where he graduated from Yucaipa High School in 1991. After 14 years of service in the United States Navy with tours in Afghanistan and Cuba he was honorably discharged. He received his BFA in Film Making and his MFA in screen-writing at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. His latest feature scripts, "The Birthing Field" and "Mother's Milk" are making the writing festivals.
